Our primary focus of work is the reinterpretation of functional materials from a variety of sources by traditional processing technologies. MATERIALS:
The Tyvek-Knit is a patented Luxaa invention. Our processed basic material is a geotextile called Tyvek – a 100% recyclable and functional membrane processed in architecture. Tyvek has in addition to that a wide variety of new and favourable characteristics for knitting. The lightness and softness creating remarkable wearability, extraordinary washability up to 90 degree celsius – without pilling or felting. Tyvek is furthermore antiallergenic and breathable, which opens up completely new opportunities for this functional textile. 
In collaboration with product designers and material experts, we try to articulate classic elements as well as new ideas for example in wood, to create an entirely new, but reproducible aesthetics. 
All Luxaa products keep the standards of sustainability. With our choice of materials and processes, we ensure sustainability criteria such as cradle to cradle, recyclability, social standards, resource conversation and environmental sustainability.
